WILLIAM BALDRY 

Conductor William leads a varied life as a musician based in Suffolk. He is Music Director of Stowmarket Chorale, Visiting Music Teacher of organ and orchestral percussion at Ipswich School, and a busy freelance accompanist and teacher. 

 He has recently taken the role of Operations Manager at Ipswich Minster, having been the Organist and Assistant Director of Music for over 12 years. 
 As an organist, William has performed live on BBC Radio 3, BBC Radio 4 and has appeared on BBC 1’s Songs of Praise. He has toured extensively to the USA and Europe and has performed for recordings on the Hyperion, Convivium and Acclaim labels, as well as on Ipswich Minster’s latest album, Eternal Source of Light. 

 As a choral director, he has led workshops and rehearsals with Stowmarket Chorale, Phoenix Singers, Ipswich Chamber Choir and Eye Bach Choir. 
 William studied music, and held an organ scholarship, at Royal Holloway, University of London working with the renowned Choir of Royal Holloway. 

 He has previously held posts at Rochester Cathedral, Tewkesbury Abbey, King’s School, Rochester, Dean Close School, Cheltenham, and Ipswich Chamber Choir.
