Stowmarket Chorale, under its conductor Leslie Olive, invited singers and audience to take part in a benefit concert of Handel's Messiah in aid of the victims of the Haiti earthquake. This took place on Saturday 27th February and the provisional total of funds raised so far is:

Congratulations and heartfelt thanks to all the 120 singers who took part, to the soloists, members of the orchestra and organist, all of whom gave their services for free, to the audience, backstage organisers and supporters, and to Leslie Olive who prepared and conducted this great work.
